Mail Order Latest News

A Paean To Wilson
A mail order update from Kooky Records:

Four Factory Records

The initial run has been sold. Unfortunately we have a few less than anticipated.

More copies will be available in the next ten days and we will start posting these the end of week commencing 19/10/09.

If you are one of the handful that has not been posted you will receive and email from me directly.

These will be identical in every way to the first run, i.e. six discs, art and inserts etc, but the envelope will not be hand numbered. I trust this is acceptable but should you have any queries relating to this or any other matter please contact me by email at philcleaver@btinternet.com

A Paean To Wilson

Many many thanks to all those people who bought a copy of this release on pre-sale at the Durutti show in London 09/10/09. Special thanks from Vini to those who travelled some considerable distance - Melbourne, Dunedin, Cape Town, Detroit, France, Spain, Leyton, Chiswick and Cheslyn Hay amongst others to be there!

We will be releasing this album at the end of January or early February 2010 through all good online and traditional stores. In the meantime I will be selling these on the Kooky site only early November. Please watch the website for more information as it is available.

Beyond The Durutti Column

Beyond The Loop
A reminder that The Durutti Column play this Friday 9 October @ 9pm as part of Beyond the Loop, a season of modern contemporary and classical music curated by John Metcalfe, at Kings Place in London. This gig is now sold out.

However, it's still not to late to buy tickets for other Beyond The Loop concerts with this special ticket offer for Durutti Column ticket holders.

The John Metcalfe Band, featuring Andy Gangadeen on drums and the Sonic Science of Simon Richmond play on Thursday 8 October @ 7.30pm.

The Duke Quartet (featuring John Metcalfe on viola) play on Friday 9 October @ 7.30pm before The Durutti Column (@ 9pm). This concert sees them perform music from two of the pre-eminent composers of our time, John Cage and Kevins Volans. Why not double-up and go see the Dukes before the Duruttis?

Tickets for either The John Metcalfe Band or The Duke Quartet are available for just £6.50 each. To book simply visit www.kingsplace.co.uk, register or login and enter the promotional code "loop"* in the box provided.

* Note the promotional code must be entered at the login or registration stage to claim your discount.

Saver Seats for both gigs may also be bought at £6.50. The only difference is that your exact seat is not confirmed until the evening of the concert.
